It has been a rainy, wet and cool week since the snowfall last Sunday. Much to our surprise, we awoke to sunshine this morning and along with it came some heat!Hunter and I got out for a short hike this morning with the neighbourhood gang and had morning snack time on a beautiful point overlooking the marsh in the woods across the road. The kids had a great time running around in the woods and coming and going from the picnic we had set up.
Everyone was so tired we all retired back to our houses for lunch and quiet time to recharge our batteries.
With the sun still out and shining this afternoon, Hunter and I headed up the Mount Lorne trail behind the house to get in some hiking before stopping off at our neighbour Judy's house for cocktail hour (Hunter is quite fond of this summer tradition as she stocks juice boxes and snacks just for him)...
After a rainy week the bugs were in high population levels so we didn't make it as far as we had hoped but we did have fun playing along the way!
Here's hoping for another sunny day tomorrow. Keeping our fingers crossed.
