Thanksgiving fun

We all headed back to Ontario for a long thanksgiving weekend to have some fun with the extended family.

After a bumpy start to the trip, thanks to airplane delays and signficant re-routing, we made it to Toronto. We spent the night downtown so we could have a family shopping frenzy at MEC - it's hard to buy a tent online!

We then headed off to Peterborough to meet up with Grandma Lynne, Aunt Patty, Bella & Charlotte for some fun at the zoo and to go see the Backyardigans play.

It was a beautiful fall day and we had a great time outside in the sunshine - this is one impressive municipal zoo/park (for free!).

Grandpa Bob and Grandma Liz came up to the cottage on Friday to stay for Lee's birthday party and have a visit - as always, it was wonderful to have them there and part of all the fun!

Tim and Uncle Simon kept busy doing cottage chores and enjoying peaceful time away from the kid chaos :)

The big event of the weekened was Great Grandma's (or Grandma's) 95th birthday (WOW). We had a cocktail party for lots of friends and then a family dinner afterwards. It was great fun and she loved it. As one of the treats, Great Uncle Neil came for the night and arrived with an AMAZING surprise for Hunter, compliments of JCB...A really cool backhoe and matching ballcap!
