We started by spending a day in Salt Lake City and seeing the sites. After a quick ride through downtown on the trolley train, we stopped off at the Mormon Tabernacle and Mormon Square to see the amazing architecture. We were lucky that the "all state" choir happened to be rehearsing in the Tabernacle so we could enjoy the acoustics of the building, which is all the more spectacular when you consider that it was built in the late 1800's.
The other stop of the day was at the Children's Museum. It was a highly interactive area with lots of different activities. Hunter's favourite stop was the realistic medevac helicopter sitting out on the roof area. It came complete with a dispatch station and dress up outfits for all the different roles...

After a full day of walking we headed back to the hotel for a swim and into bed, ready for an early start for our 5 day canyoning trip!
