We headed off for the long weekend to Lubock River, on the way to Atlin BC (just over an hour from our house). We spent the May long weekend there last year (by accident) and it was such a great time we were aiming for a "do-over" this year.I'll do a separate post about the rest of the weekend - this is just in celebration of the wildlife we saw Thursday night.The road to Atlin is a dirt road and often a good location for bear spotting. We got really lucky and came across a Mom and 2 cubs that were hungry and focused on their food. They were right in the ditch off the side of the road - maybe 10 feet from us in the truck.
