Our apologies for the lack of posts lately - things have been quite hectic around here...
Spring has arrived and summer peeks through every once in a while - all of this means that we are busy making the most of the warmer weather and spending lots of time outside!
The vegetable garden has been planted and Tim has been on a building and carving spree - we have new aesthetic fencing all up the driveway, a new bear bench for sitting on, a few new carved fish that are heading out for gifts and a new geocaching bear carving that will need to be hidden somewhere.
Hunter has a new tricycle and is riding up a storm - he was struggling with his 2 wheeler with training wheels so we took a step backwards as he had never had a tricycle - a great $39 investment so far!
Tim is down to one job for the summer (medevac) which has given him some free time and the dogs are enjoying the benefit of this - they've been off for at least one run a week and lots more Dad time. Hunter has the same feelings and is side by side with Tim for all the "worker man" activities. He can proudly pee outside by himself now and sees no reason to come in unless it's to watch a show and take a break.
We headed off on the White Pass train over the long weekend and enjoyed the sites. We took the train from Carcross to Skagway with a stop at Lake Bennett for some exploring. It was a LONG day as we went with Meghan (our best friend most days) and there were 2 4ish year olds together for 8 hours...
We had a great day yesterday at home with the everyone playing outside and then heading over to the community centre for some bike riding (on the nice flat tennis court), swinging, sand box playing, skateboard park running around and Mom & Dad even got in some tennis for some definite giggles.
We're off to a work "paintball" party this afternoon and then mom is off to Yellowknife and Inuvik again this week.
Grandma Lynne arrives on Friday to start our Alaskan Adventure and we'll do our best to send photos and updates while we are away
Big hugs to all
