can you say cold!!!!

Ok - this is just silly....

The deep freeze started last saturday when the temperatures dropped and they haven't moved for the last 5 days. We start the day at 8am with a view out the window at the thermometer and it reads -42c (before windchill!!!!).

Cabin fever has set in! Tim has worked the last 4 days and that has left Lee at home with Hunter, trying to juggle playing, eating, baking, working and school. Just a few things to fit in (ACK!).

Tim is finally off so Lee gets to escape the house and drive to work at -42c temps tomorrow - somehow this is exciting???

One of my colleagues called me chicken for not driving into work in these temps. Tim calls me nuts thinking I would drive, with Hunter, 45 minutes into town in these temps when trucks break really easily...

Someone said to me yesterday that their 10 minute walk to work helped remind them why they live in the Yukon - I said my 4 days of cabin fever had me desperately questioning WHY we live in the Yukon. The joy of different view points :)

Desperately hoping for warmer temps and counting the days until spring breaks...
