It seems like life has been non-stop since we got back from our Ontario/Alaska vacation. Hunter and Tim were supposed to have a "boys week" at home for the last week before school but that exploded after day one due to Tim's impromptu work schedule. It soon become Hunter's "go to work with mom week" - for which mom is very greatful that she has a flexible, open minded employer!

The highlight of the week was getting the play structure done and the zip line setup. Lots of fun for boys of all sizes...

Our fall weather started in late August (as is the norm) and the leaves seemed to change overnight. It's funny how you get used to where you are - the fall colors of the tundra are beautiful and I no longer compare them to the broader rainbow of fall foliage out east. They look like a colorful carpet spread out for as far as the eye can see.
We've been busy pulling in the gardens, cleaning things up and stocking wood to get ready for winter.
Hunter went back to school on August 31st and is off to a great start. He has Monsieur Darcy as his teacher and has his two best friends - Christopher & Daniel - in his class.

He started the year with a new bed (thanks dad!), a new set of jammies (thanks grandma liz!) and a new Bob the Builder quilt set for his bed (thanks aunt shannon!) and has happily been sleeping in his own room most nights (yay for mom and dad...)
