With a young man who is all about tools and machines, what other birthday theme would you have but... Bob the Builder (it works well for Dad as well!). 
Although somewhat late (his actual birthday is August 3rd) we celebrated Hunter's birthday with friends and family last weekend.
Dad made some great wooden airplanes for the kids to build and paint and it was definitely the hit of the party. Add in some pizzas, lots of space to run and an amazing cake and the party was a success!
