Ontario adventures & "The Birthday"

In early August we headed off to Ontario to Grandma Lynne's house in hopes of some Summer weather. It was also Hunter's birthday week so he had great fun planning a party full of favourite people and things.

Hunter and Bella headed off to the driving range next door to get some practice swings in...

A big treat for the birthday weekend was that Grandma Liz and Grandpa Bob came for a visit! It definitely made it a birthday weekend vs just a single day... Right after they got there we headed off to the new park down the road for some afternoon fun.

The next morning we took advantage of some flat water to get in some tubing before the BIG PARTY...

Hunter's request was for a firetruck cake with 5 firemen - a rather precise vision that Anne was able to create in her usual amazing way (we don't like to bring up the 3+ hours she spent decorating it..)!

Cousin Bella was up at Grandma's house for a big part of our visit and she and hunter had a great time together.
We headed out to the Fenlon Falls Fair with Grandma Lynne and had a great time.
We painted up his face like a knight (as per Gareth's birthday the weekend prior) and went to explore.
Hunter had never been to a Fair and had an amazing time on the Carousel horses, the potato sack slide and playing the carnival games. We even got to see some kids doing ATV & Lawn Tractor pulling competitions!
We spent 4 days at Tennis camp in the mornings and enjoyed running around with some other kids while learning some things about Tennis.
A big treat were the lamas that came for a visit on their daily walk. They take treats right out of your hand!
