Yukon Fish & Game Salmon Fry Release

Hunter and I headed off to the Salmon Fry Release at Wolfe Creek Campground today. Every year they release a bunch (today was 15,000) Salmon Fry to swim down Wolfe Creek and into the Yukon River watershed.

Hunter (and his friends Christopher & Daniel) had a great time freeing the fish and generally running around.

They took the fish from the big container on the back of the truck and put them into 5 gallon buckets, from which they took them out and put them into freezer bags for each of the kids to let free.

Some kids chose to dump the entire bag in the water at once and run back for more. Hunter took the more personal approach and let them go one by one...
