Our first night in the tent as a family was a success, which was good as we had many more nights to go!
The goal for the morning was to get all of the gear (personal and communal) packed up and hiked down a 2km trail that takes you from the campground at the top of the falls, to the raft put in at the bottom of the falls. Everything had to go down, which made for quite a few trips.
The sun came out and we had a beautiful day, which definitely made all the hiking and packing easier.
We had a quick lunch at the base of the falls and then loaded up the rafts and headed out downstream. Day One was supposed to have the most rapids and likeliest chance of being wet so we opted for a wetsuit for Hunter, which he considers his new Superman suit.

To get Hunter comfortable with the whole idea of whitewater, he and I rode in the raft with our guide Graeme while Tim paddled one of the inflatable kayaks and enjoyed playing in the waves.
