Winter's here... hopefully not to stay though

Saturday night the snow started... It's been threatening for over 2 weeks - we've been watching it march down the mountainside and cover the town with deep fog.

Sunday morning we awoke to snow on the ground. The fog eventually broke and we had clear skies and a beautiful moon Sunday night.

Much to our surprise, we awoke to snow again on Thanksgiving monday... Not really feeling all that thankful about it.

Tuesday morning brought light snowfall throughout the day. Wednesday morning brought a wet, slushy blizzard and yucky road conditions.

By Wednesday night we had 6 inches on the ground and just had to get out and build our first snowman of the season. We usually only get snowmen in our early season snowfalls and late season snowfalls. The snow in between is just too dry and won't stick.

It would be nice if we had one more melt before the white stuff stuck around - just to let us get the last of the outdoor work done. Hunter disagrees and thinks it should be here to stay...
