The rains started Thursday morning and just stopped this morning... and when they come, they come! Weather warnings were out for all of southern Utah for flash flooding. We rolled into Lake Powell thursday late afternoon and learned that the weather was supposed to continue for another 24-48 hours. This put a damper on our weekend of boating and exploring the canyons from the water. We did some quick dialing for hotel rooms and switched our plans around and spent last night in Blanding and are heading up towards Moab earlier.
The lightning storms on the lake were amazing and everyone enjoyed laying on the bed and watching them out the windows. We did get some adventuring in yesterday on the way to Blanding and I will update when we find a faster internet connection.
Tonight we're off to a B&B in the LaSalle mountains just south of Moab
